RATES, PAYMENTS and CANCELATIONS

Rates:
Our rate is $129.00 per night, plus tax, all year. We offer a discounted rate of $109 per night for booking two or more consecutive nights. If you are traveling on military or government business call us to discuss our per diem rates.

Deposits:
A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation (100% for a one night stay). The remaining balance plus tax are due at check-in.

Cancellations (please read):
All changes or cancellations must be done by calling us at (915) 581-8651.
  • Cancellations made 15 days of more prior to arrival date: Full refund of deposit less a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made between 14 and 2 days prior to arrival date: You will receive a gift certificate for the value of your deposit valid for 6 months from the original reservation date less a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival date (including no-shows): Forfeiture of deposit.
  • Gift certificates are subject to room availability and must be applied only to room rates.
  • All rates are based on double occupancy and subject to change without notice.
  • 15.5% hotel tax is added to all rates.
  • Credit cards only. We accept Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
Additional Guests:
  • Children traveling with their parents are welcome but must be constantly under the supervision of their parents.  Remember that the casita has only one bedroom with queen-sized bed. We have two karate-style mats and sleeping bags that may be used to accommodate younger children. Also keep in mind that our guest house is furnished and decorated with many lovely antiques. Parents will be liable for all damages or losses caused by their children.

  • Traveling with friends? We may be able to help. We have a guest room with queen-bed and private bath in the main house for a second couple or two older family members. The rate for this room is an additional $49 per night. Call for availability.

ARRIVALS and DEPARTURES

  • Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  You are our only guests during your stay. It is our intention to greet you personally when you arrive. Early arrivals will be accommodated if the guest house is ready – please call ahead to be sure. If you are running late, let us know. Depending on the situation and the hour we may ask you to let yourself in.

  • Check-out is 11:00 am. 

PETS

  • Well mannered dogs under 30 lbs. are allowed. We charge a fee of $10 per dog (max two dogs) per stay.
  • Pets are not to be left unattended in the casita. Guests are responsible for damage caused by their pets and extra fees may be assessed for cleaning or damage.  Out of consideration for other guests, pets are not permitted on the beds or furniture.
  • For all other pets, we can refer you to a very popular nearby veterinary clinic that boards animals. Please call us for a referral.

ODDS and ENDS

  • The Rest of Texas is a non-smoking Bed and Breakfast – no exceptions.  Smoking is permitted only off the premises on the irrigation ditch service road that runs beside our property.  An extra cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged on your credit card for smoking in any of the rooms or interior areas of the house.
  • No candles or open flames.
  • No cooking except in the microwave or toaster. The use of the stove or oven in the main-house kitchen may be available. Let us know.
  • Any property, including antiques, damaged or broken by the guests, their children or pets will become the financial responsibility of the guest according to each item's assessed value.
